day 1 : TREKKING FROM LONDOROSSI GATE TO SHIRA 1 CAMP

In the morning, a guide and mountain support team will arrive at your hotel to meet you and conduct another briefing. Following this, you’ll travel by vehicle for approximately 3 to 4 hours to the western entrance of Kilimanjaro National Park at Londorossi Gate (2,200 m). After completing the formalities of obtaining climbing permits and registering with the search and rescue service, you’ll continue by off-road vehicle to your drop-off point at around 3,500 meters. From here, you'll get your first breathtaking views of the Shira Plateau. The trek from your drop-off point to your initial high-altitude camp, Shira 1, involves a slight increase in elevation and is not overly strenuous, allowing you to start acclimatizing effectively. Upon reaching the camp, our professional mountain crew will have everything set up, including tents and dinner preparation.

day 2 TREKKING FROM SHIRA 1 CAMP TO SHIRA 2 CAMP

Leaving Shira 1 Camp (3,505 m), you’ll embark on a light trek to the second high-altitude camp, Shira 2 Camp (3,900 m). This trek is relatively easy and allows you to take in stunning views of Africa, as well as the distinctive flora of Kilimanjaro and its surroundings. Shira 2 Camp offers excellent views of Mount Meru (the fifth highest peak in Africa), weather permitting. Upon reaching the camp, you’ll have lunch and then enjoy a two-hour rest before setting out on an acclimatization hike towards Lava Tower Camp, which involves a 200-meter altitude gain. Note: The acclimatization hike is a gentle trek designed to aid the acclimatization process by gradually increasing altitude. It is crucial for enhancing your chances of a successful summit and mitigating the risks of altitude sickness.

day-3 TREKKING FROM SHIRA 2 CAMP TO THE LAVA TOWER AND DESCENT TO BARRANCO CAMP

After breakfast, you’ll depart from Shira 2 Camp (3,900 m) and head towards the critical point of the trek: Lava Tower (4,630 m). This portion of the route involves numerous ascents and descents, culminating in a camp situated at over 4,600 meters. Although this section can be challenging and you may experience some discomfort, it is essential to spend 1 to 2 hours here to aid acclimatization, so lunch will be enjoyed at this altitude. Following your time at Lava Tower, you’ll descend to Barranco Camp (3,960 m). Here, you’ll have a view of the famous Barranco Wall, notable for its impressive height and steepness. You’ll tackle this wall the following day, but rest assured, it features a relatively straightforward hiking path. Note: If any participants feel unwell, the group may need to bypass Lava Tower and adjust the route accordingly, taking the path for porters instead. In this case, the maximum altitude reached will be around 4,400 meters, rather than 4,630 meters

Day 4 TREKKING FROM BARRANCO CAMP TO KARANGA CAMP

Early wakeup, breakfast and the start of summiting Barranco Wall (we recommend you leave the camp as early as possible to avoid crowds of the other groups). Hiking up the gorge wall is not difficult and only takes around an hour. After the climb you can have a rest and take photos in front of the Kibo volcano. Then you start a more difficult hike to Karanga Camp, which features numerous ascents and descents during the route, but don't worry: our guides are experts at choosing an optimal pace for the group. After reaching the camp you will be offered warm lunch. After a couple of hours you will have to complete an acclimatization hike in the direction of Barafu Camp with a 200-meter gain in altitude, and then descent back down to the camp.

Day 5 : TREKKING FROM KARANGA CAMP TO BARAFU CAMP

Following breakfast in the morning, you will set out for Barafu Summit Camp (4,640 m), which serves as the base for your night ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). Our team will have the camp prepared in advance with tents and sleeping bags, allowing you to relax upon arrival. After replenishing your energy, you'll embark on an acclimatization hike to the intermediate Kosovo Summit Camp (4,800 m) and then return to Barafu Camp. There, you will enjoy a hot dinner. It's advisable to use the rest of the day for relaxation and sleep to prepare for the nighttime summi

Day 6 : ASCENT TO UHURU PEAK AND DESCENT TO mweka CAMP

Departure from Barafu Camp (4,640 m) at night and the start of summiting Kilimanjaro: Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). Technically the climb is relatively simple; however, the most challenging part is the high altitude. Each pair of climbers will get a personal guide for the entire ascent to monitor your physical and mental conditions. After your successful ascent to Uhuru Peak, you can descend to the nearest glacier if desired. Then you will return to Barafu Camp and after a 2-hour rest continue your descent to Millennium Camp (3,820 m). Note: Don't forget that 90% of all accidents occur during the descent, including all broken arms and legs. Please pay attention to your feet, as there is a high risk of damaging your toenails.

Day 7 : DESCENT FROM MILLENNIUM CAMP TO MWEKA GATE

The camp is situated in a tropical rainforest. When you wake up, you will feel relief from the reduction of the height and the satisfaction of reaching the summit. After a warm breakfast, you will head for the park's exit: Mweka Gate (1,650 m). After your descent the whole group will gather to congratulate you, followed by offering you a chance to share your opinions on the climb in the guestbook. Lastly, we will present you with your commemorative certificates in our office and provide you a transfer back to the hotel.
