Our guide will meet you at the airport or your accommodation and transport you to either Lake Manyara or Tarangire National Park, with Tarangire being particularly recommended from June to October. Tarangire National Park is famous for its varied landscapes, featuring nine distinct vegetation zones. The park is dotted with ancient Baobab trees, creating a humbling experience when standing beside them. Its river teems with wildlife, offering opportunities to see the Big 5. Tarangire is also noted for having the highest concentration of elephants in Tanzania, providing a chance to observe their social dynamics and interactions. Lake Manyara National Park offers a stunning experience with its lush acacia forests, towering fig and mahogany trees. The park is home to diverse wildlife, including giraffes, elephants, impalas, and a significant number of buffaloes. The lake itself supports a large population of hippos. Notable features of this park include tree-climbing lions, flamingos along the lake’s edge, as well as the Ground Hornbill and the Crested Eagle. In the afternoon, you'll be transferred to the camp for dinner.
Ngorongoro Crater is renowned as one of the Natural Wonders of the World. This vast caldera stretches across 102 square miles and features towering walls that rise 2,000 feet high, creating a unique and self-contained ecosystem. Often likened to a Noah’s Ark, the crater is home to a remarkable diversity of wildlife native to East Africa, including the elusive black rhino, which is seldom seen elsewhere on the continent. The crater boasts the highest concentration of African wildlife anywhere in Africa. Within its bounds, you'll find a variety of landscapes, including a river, multiple swamps, a soda lake teeming with flamingos, lush forests, and expansive plains. It's also known for its impressive elephants, which are the largest in the world, partly due to the rich volcanic soil and nutritious grasses. Ngorongoro Crater is truly a marvel of the natural world. Our day will begin with an early transfer from the Manyara region to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Once there, we'll descend into the crater for a remarkable morning of wildlife viewing in this breathtaking setting. After an exhilarating game drive, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch by the picturesque Hippo Lake. Following lunch, you'll have the chance for a fantastic afternoon game drive before we ascend from the crater and head to your accommodation.
After an early breakfast, set off towards the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The journey, though lengthy, is truly spectacular. As you drive through the crater highlands, you’ll make a brief stop at the rim to take in an extraordinary view of the Ngorongoro Crater—an awe-inspiring sight for first-time visitors. As you continue into the Serengeti, you'll understand why its name, in the local language, translates to "endless plains." Covering 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometers), the park’s vast grasslands seem to stretch endlessly to the horizon, challenging your sense of distance. The Serengeti is famed for the Great Migration, home to around 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and numerous antelopes including abundant impalas and Thomson's gazelles. It is also a prime destination for spotting Big Cats and large predators, such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas—many of which have been featured in popular wildlife documentaries, including the iconic river crossings. Additionally, the park hosts smaller creatures like foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, rock hyraxes, and African hares, along with over 500 species of birds.
A full day in Serengeti National Park awaits you, with complete flexibility to suit your preferences. This day will be tailored to your wishes. Each day of the safari, your guide will consult with you to determine the ideal schedule, including game drive timings and wake-up calls. For instance, you might choose to embark on a morning game drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation, and then enjoy an afternoon game drive. Alternatively, you could opt for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch included
On these two incredible days, you will be driven across remote locations within the vast Serengeti plains in pursue of the Great Migration. The areas you visit depend on the time of the year and could be as far as the remote North of the Serengeti near the border with Kenya, or could be in the South (Ndutu Area) or even in the Western part of the park.
Today we drive you the airport. It will be sad to say goodbye after spending the last couple of days together. As we wave you goodbye we hope to see you again.
